It seems to be, the Achilles heel of so many things we do in Jamaica, is the absolute lack of standards, no bare minimums. Scanning the Pages of the Gleaner dated Sept. 5th…I was glad to see Asafa Powell bounce back from Olympic disappointment and doing the things we know he is capable of…That glow and pride was totally demolished on the next couple of pages though on encountering the Pulse Model Search.
Young girls strutting there stuff in two piece bikinis for a chance at the big time…not a problem in and of itself, except that one of the girls happens to be 13 years old and the other 14…WTF!!!
Why is there no minimum age for whoring out little girls? This is absolutely ridiculous…what’s the next step…the pole? It is mind boggling at times the fuckery that takes place in this country of ours? and its even worst when its pass off as business as usual.
Look! we know that Jamaica is not the most up and up place on this big blue marble…but that doesn’t mean we can’t set some bare minimums…identify some lines we do not cross, some things we still hold and keep sacred, and some steps we refuse to take…the innocence of children should be foremost amongst these things.
13 and 14 year old girls in two piece bikinis is not something we need to do, not something we should condone. Even if there is no law against it…Pulse and its managers need to at least wait until the “little pickney“ dem “bust breast”, pseudo kiddie porn is just WRONG!!

Everytime I need to sign some document that needs me to justify or prove my honesty, I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING DISHONEST! And I am tired of it!
Whats the point of this stupidity about justice of the peace? I don’t know any…oh yeah…I know the ones I invariably have to pay off to sign the passport picture, bank application etc…BUT he/she doesn’t know me…hence why I have to pay them to tell lie for me as I can get sh*t done If I don’t.
Government sanctioned extortion
Is this a setup, is it a post given to old political cronies, whats the point, I am broke, yet I can afford to pay $500 to have my loan documents signed…So I am damn sure, that the miscreants of society who are out to do illegal shit from the get go are in no way hampered by this “security measure”.
AT $500 to sign and stamp a document: 10 people per day, 5 days per week, works out to be a whopping 100,000 grand per month, tax free, why the F**K! is this Government sanctioned extortion allowed to take place.
Oh yeah, they are not supposed to charge…but THEY DO!! and everybody including the school children in China knows they do CHARGE…not all, not most (well maybe) but enough charge for this ’free’ service for this practice to as worthless as a third nipple.
These people have no INTEGRITY…they are nothing more than dishonest f*ckers who have been granted the privilege to stick their hands in the cookie jar.
CRAZY SUGGESTION
Rather than tax prostitutes, it might be a much better idea to make certifying documents a paid service. Affix a set fee to each ‘Stamp and Sign’ and apply tax like anything else. Because while the concept is sound, Jamaica and Jamaicans are way too corrupt to be expected to honor the spirit of the system…it sounds bad…but unfortunately thats the way we are.
Can you imagine a a medical doctor, who will take $500 Jamaican dollars ($7.15 USD) to pretend to know you…just stop for two seconds, and imagine what this same ‘Doc’ would do for $100, or a $1000USD or more.
